   Why are you switching to vbulletin? phpBB is a free option that would work just fine.

   I have used smf, phpbb, and vbulletin for my own forums. Vbulletin isn’t that great. There are many things you can’t do with vbulletin whcih you CAN with phpbb.

   If I remember correctly, you were using phpbb 2, an outdated version. Version 3 is out… you should give it a try.

   Your argument for vbulletin is like a kid using Windows 98 get frustrated with the lack of features who says “fuck microsoft, I am switching to apple.”

   I know you want a SMITE button really badly. We all do, but is it really worth the effort?

   …or are you wanting it so you can be like like the old fratty.net?

   The reason I am switching is because of the catastrophe going on at SMF right now. It is doneskis. And my previous experience with phpbb was awful. vbulletin has pretty good reviews, but I will look into the new phpbb3 as well since I am having some serious conversion problems.

   i haven’t been able to procrastinate like i should be able to via .net. too much productivity.
