Dirt Nasty feat. Beardo – “Drugs On My Mind” from Nicholaus Goossen on Vimeo.

Beardo’s self titled debut record was recorded in his Van Nuys California studio apartment after long days, doing odd jobs.

Beardo wrote, produced and played every instrument on this debut that has been compared to both rap and punk rock albums alike.

The album starts with a song titled, “Girls n’ Pills.” The type of song (as Beardo puts it) that “you wanna have sex and get high too.” “Alien Man” (the second song) is an aggressive tune and tells the story of what it like “being a loner and a outcast and wanting to punch football players in the face”…as Beardo states.

The record is a roller-coaster with a common stream of huge guitar riffs, a free spirited screaming voice and 80′s sounding drum machines…”keeping production very simple” as Beardo notes.

One song Beardo recommends is “24 Hour Party,” a song that has been played by Los Angeles radio stations KROQ and KXLU. “This album speaks the truth, written for the simple people dealing with everyday problems.” – Beardo
