July 30, 2009 | Leave a Comment
Steve Earle explains in an interview how his tests and trials in his early career led the the masterpiece album Guitar town. He was 19 when he started playing commercially and 31 when this album was released.”When he first came to prominence in 1986, he was viewed as a savior of country music and hailed by some as the “new Bruce Springsteen.” In the later part of his career, after troubles with the law, drug addiction and his uncompromising viewpoints, he has become known as “the hardcore troubadour”.”(wiki) Visit this link for the whole music video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytHMQyJfVfg

Daddy Cool – The classic music video for Eagle Rock. Made in 1971 by Chris Lofven. Recent winner of the “Rythms Magazine” Australian DVD of the year. This song inspired Elton John’s “Crocodile Rock”, pretty chill jam.

The Georgia Satellites – Battleship Chains

Battleship Chains is a song written by Terry Anderson and made famous by the band the Georgia Satellites. The song also appeared on the album Hindu Love Gods by the band Hindu Love Gods, a collaboration between members of R.E.M. and Warren Zevon. This is one of the better Georgia Satellites songs in my opinion, [...]

The Spirit Shirt
July 11, 2009 | 2 Comments
A fairly unknown but most awesome tradition during gameday tailgates is the Spirit Shirt. The Spirit Shirt tradition involves buying everyone’s favorite freshman a ridiculous Hawiian shirt with your team’s logos on it. At the tailgate the pledge already looks out of place because he is not dressed traditionally like everyone else. The point of [...]

AC/DC is the tits

This great performance of Shoot to Thrill pretty much illustrates the awesomeness that is AC/DC. If one of their songs doesn’t play at a party you are at, you aren’t raging hard enough. Just watch Angus shred his guitar and your face will melt off in an awesome wave. His shorts are short enough to [...]

Spuds Mackenzie the Frat Monster
July 1, 2009 | 1 Comment
Spuds Mackenzie is absurd. As the poster dog for Bud Light in the 80s, he gave a new meaning to the phrase “party animal”. Spuds was rad enough to get Mothers Against Drunk Driving to start a campaign against Anheuser-Busch for marketing to children. Click here to see a short history about Spuds on wikipedia. Spuds raged harder than Clemson Sigma Chi ever will.
